A Technical Work shop was held on 23/07/2012 at Thiagarajar College, Madurai regarding the research area of Data Mining. The topic is “A Kit for Knowledge Discovery – Weka”. The seminar is conducted by Miss.Shree Vidhya.M.
Initially the presentation program was started with a gentle introduction of our senior core analyser ShreeVidhya.M. Subsequently the session was handed over to ShreeVidhya.M.

Her talk was “Elysium Technologies has manifested its perceptive as a Research & Development company especially conceptualizing in engineering research services right from the time of its inception along with the software products in another lane. We had gained eighteen years of remarkable experience in this research offshore. Elysium started its initial journey from the temple city of Madurai, and thereby proved its ability to take off its wings in Kollam and Trichy in the subsequent years. We are also having our branches highly functioning at Coimbatore, Cochin, Tirunelveli, Nagercovil, Triuchengodu ,Dindigul and Ramnad. The main motive of this workshop is how their syllabus applies on industrial aspect. Hence we have taken JAVA as the core.
[imageframe style=”bottomshadow” bordercolor=”#fff” bordersize=”4px” stylecolor=”” align=”right”][/imageframe]Then she started her presentation and in the beginning she narrated the perception towards Weka, which includes “Evolution of data Mining, Machine learning, Purpose of Machine Learning and What is the role of Weka. The presentation lasted for nearly three hours. Consequently she also had programs along with the concepts of machine learning dynamically. She had described about each concept such as Preprocessing with some algorithms “, Classification, Clustering, Feature Selection, Association Rule mining along with the algorithm solving.
As this is a research topic, everyone was enthusiastically listening and pouring their queries to her. Thus at the end it was explicit to see the students, that they had really attained sufficient knowledge over Weka along with their feedback given.
